There are days

This personal project came out of a desire to share about my experiences surrounding depression and loneliness. Through this short story, I wanted to illustrate the ways depression can manifest in daily activities. Using risograph printing, I chose a simple palette to draw readers in and emphasize specific areas on each page.

Especially with the chaos and tragedy that occurred throughout 2020, creating these images was a cathartic release and a way for me to reach out to my community to express the hurt I felt alongside them. It was so encouraging to see responses pour in of how many people could relate and appreciate similar experiences.
